We visited Ross Farm Museum in New Ross for the first time today – what a great place!

It’s a living heritage museum that interprets the seasonal tasks of a farm in the 19th century and, this weekend, their special event was a maple syrup demonstration. We were served pancakes with maple syrup tapped from the trees on site and cooked in a big cast iron pan the old fashion way – so delicious! We also got to see the maple sap boiling over an outdoor fire where we were treated to some hot chocolate (and this was all included in the $6 admission!)

The museum has quite a few heritage animals on site as well, including these hilarious sheep that greeted us on our way in. There were also some adorable newborn baby piglets.

Expect to see more photos from Ross Farm Museum this year!
